Самые опасные штаммы коронавируса назвали в ВОЗ. Это британский, южноафриканский, бразильский и индийский. Причем, преобладающим в мире совсем скоро станет индийский, или иначе дельта-вариант, поскольку он самый заразный из четырех. Спасут ли от индийского вируса уже существующие вакцины?
Индийский штамм, или штамм «дельта», зафиксирован уже в 92 странах. Это особенно беспокоит ВОЗ, поскольку «дельта» – самый быстро распространяющийся штамм в мире. Этому способствует открытие границ и отказ от строгих ограничений в большинстве стран. Пугают врачи и осложнениями: индийский штамм вызывает тромбы, приводящие к гангрене. Впрочем, эксперты успокаивают: существующие вакцины могут помочь. Касается это и самой последней мутации – «дельта плюс».
ВЭЙ ШЭН, профессор кафедры общественного здравоохранения Медицинского колледжа Тунцзи:
– Вакцины, применяемые сейчас, достаточно эффективны против варианта «дельта». У людей, которые прошли вакцинацию против COVID, ниже риск развития тяжелых симптомов.
Ученые рассказали, какой симптом коронавируса чаще всего проявляется у вакцинированных. У тех, кто привился, но все равно заболел, появляется чихание, не типичное для COVID. Врачи советуют всем, кто привился и чихает, не рисковать и сдать тест на COVID.
А во Франции отпраздновали снятие ограничений музыкальным фестивалем – первым за 15 месяцев. «Праздник музыки» стал для жителей и гостей Парижа символом возвращения к нормальной жизни – буквально на прошлой неделе власти разрешили снять маски и отменили комендантский час.
А президент Филиппин Родриго Дутерте выступил с очередным скандальным заявлением: назвал «вредителями» граждан, не желающих прививаться, и призвал сажать их в тюрьму. Но угроз президента филиппинцы, похоже, не боятся: обе дозы получили всего 0,65% жителей.

13일만에 코로나19 신규 확진자 600명대…‘델타형 변이’가 복병, 해외유입 40명

The nation’s daily COVID-19 tally spiked to over 600.
This comes as there’s a growing number of people enjoying outdoor activities.
There are also concerns over virus variants.

South Korea reported 645 new cases on Wednesday, rising into the 600s for the first time since June 10th.
The figure includes 605 domestic transmissions and 40 imported cases.
It’s the fourth day in a row that the number of imported cases has been 40 or higher amid concerns over coronavirus variants, especially the Delta variant, which was first detected in India.
However, Korean health authorities say that people fully vaccinated with two doses will have up to 88 percent protection from the variant.
But…the Delta Plus variant is emerging as another challenge.
It was first detected in India in April… and is known to bind to lung cells more easily… and is potentially resistant to monoclonal antibody therapy.
The Delta Plus variant has been found in nine other countries so far, including the U.S., Japan, Poland and China.
As of Wednesday, no cases have been reported in Korea but health authorities say they are on alert.
An increase in outdoor activities and private gatherings are also seen as a major cause of the rise in the number of confirmed cases.
The city of Daejeon saw 57 cases on Wednesday, following cluster infections from private gatherings at a church and family gatherings.
Responding to this, the city has raised its social distancing level to one-point-five from Wednesday until end of this month.
Public facilities in Daejeon, including cafes, restaurants and indoor gyms are prohibited from operating between 11 PM and five AM.
Private gatherings of five or more people are prohibited, and events are limited to less than 100 people for the rest of June.
As South Korea is expecting the easing of social distancing measures from July first, the health ministry has urged people to not get slack over following the distancing rules, especially when it comes to private gatherings.
